Our hands are the most-used parts of our bodies. Unfortunately that’s the reason they start showing signs of ageing if not taken proper care of. Our hands do most of the hard work, from cleaning to cooking to gardening. Exposure to sun, bad weather, dirt and water often leads to hands looking dull and spotted. The delicate skin of the hands is bound to get affected in the long run. However, there are home remedies that can help remove wrinkles and lighten tan from your hands to give them a youthful appearance.
- Use tomatoes
Tomatoes contain lycopene, which is extremely efficient to fight wrinkles. You can try soaking your hands in fresh tomato juice for 30 minutes. Doing this 2-3 times a week can help improve the texture of your skin and lighten tan.
- Never skip sunscreen
As much as your face skin needs sunscreen, so do your hands. Harmful UVA and UVB rays do a lot of damage to the skin. Make sure you apply sunscreen generously on your hands every day and re-apply every few hours.
- Prepare your own hand cream
You need not invest a lot of money on commercial hand creams because some of the best anti wrinkles cream can be concocted at your home with natural ingredients. Mix some beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, frankincense essential oil and aloe vera gel together and apply it on your hands. This will slowly but surely reduce wrinkles on your hands and brighten them.
Exfoliate the skin on your hands every once in a while with a scrub. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells revealing younger skin within. You can use Epsom salt or walnut shell powder with aloe gel as a DIY scrub.
- Use pineapples
Pineapple pulp and juice can help reduce existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming. Apply them on your hands for visible results.
