These are nifty structures that you can easily install around your garden. Don’t worry, you don’t have to get a prolonged fencing roll for your entire property. Just get a one that will be adequate for your garden only since that’s the most attacked area here.
Installing a deer fence is no rocket science. You can do it yourself only with your basic DIY skills. Here is a brief on the steps to follow to install a deer fence.
Supplies one will need:
- the fence itself
- support for mounting your fence to
- Something for tying your fence to the supports
Measure fence perimeter
Gauge the distance the fence should cover. It will help you to get a rough idea on adequate portion of fencing for your property.
Mark reference points for corners
Next, you will spot out the reference points for typing the fence into. Use spray paint or high-visibility tape to mark the points. It will enable one to spot reference points conveniently at one shot.
Install the deer fence
Attach your fence roll to the first support. The fence should go minimum 1 foot deep into ground. Place fence sleeve into the ground & put striking cap at designated place. Now, just nail it down inside the ground. Push it in till it gets flushed with grade. After that, add the fence post. Now, attach fence to post from below & gradually go upwards. And you are done. Just make sure to leave 4 to 6” of play for dips & hills.
